Africa, where business opportunities are almost everywhere, is attracting a large number of Foshan enterprises to rush for gold. Tanzania, Ethiopia and Kenya, the "three big East African countries" with the best development momentum in East Africa, became China's top ten trading partners in Africa in 2016.


The "Big Three" of East Africa has unlimited market potential. Liu Xiang said that according to the 2017 Global Economic Preview report released by the World Bank, Ethiopia is expected to grow by 8.9%, Tanzania by 7.1% and Kenya by 6% in 2017.


"Ninety-five percent of African countries have virtually no industry, lack commodity processing and manufacturing capacity, and rely on imports for most of their means of production and daily necessities." Liu Xiang bluntly: "For enterprises with capital, scale, technology and access, Africa is full of business opportunities."


After years of efforts, Boda Group, headquartered in Foshan, has become one of the largest traders of China's building materials export to the African market, with annual sales of more than 200 million US dollars and an annual growth rate of more than 20%.

Lyu said that last year, Boda Group cooperated with Shanghai Wangkang to establish the largest ceramic production line in East Africa in Tanzania. At present, Boda Group's own brand GOODONE ranks first in Tanzania's building materials market share.


With the development of African economy, consumers' demand for daily necessities has exploded. In 2014, Boda Group began to lay out the field of daily necessities, launched thermos bottles, glass bowls, milk cups and other products, and formed two major business sectors of building materials production and marketing and daily necessities distribution.


Lu Moudu said that the current price of products in the African market is 40% to 50% lower than that of China, but the cost is also 40% lower, and the market demand is huge. "We will fight country by country, relying on Tanzania as our base camp."


The promotion will be hosted by Foshan Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, which will also organize enterprises to participate in the "2017 China (Guangdong) Famous Products Tanzania Exhibition" held in Tanzania from September 8 to 10. Ma Xiangyu, president of the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said that the city's investment promotion work has been fully deployed, and the Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade will promote Foshan enterprises to leverage the "Belt and Road" opportunity to promote foreign trade to promote Foshan enterprise production capacity, and ultimately increase capital and expand production in Foshan, to promote the city's investment promotion work.
